The Federation of Russian Canadians of BC opposes the use of military force against civilians in Ukraine, and stands with protesters around the world in calling for a peaceful end to the needless destruction and loss of civilian life. The Russian Hall lived through the Second World War, the Cold War and now this situation in Ukraine. The Federation of Russian Canadians of BC has long welcomed all Slavic people to share in the cultural efforts of the Hall. Original members included Byelorussians, Georgians, Lithuanians, Poles, Russians, Ukrainians, Yugoslavs and others. This tradition needs to continue in the spirit of peace and harmony among nations and people. Today the Hall offers a venue to whomever wants to use it for their cultural activities. We stand on our tradition of inclusion and respect for all.
The FRCBC’s Board of Directors has made a donation of $1000.00 to Medical Mercy Canada to support humanitarian efforts. We encourage others to do the same at
